What materials are used in your jewelry?
Our jewelry is crafted from high-quality Sterling silver (925/000), which is then professionally gold-plated, meeting the highest standards in the jewelry industry. We also use enamel and zirconia stones in many colors, often combining them in unexpected ways to create stunning pieces of jewelry.
What is Sterling Silver (925/000)?
Sterling silver, often marked as "925" or "925/000," is a popular and valuable silver alloy used in jewelry, silverware and various decorative items. The number "925" represents the purity of the silver in the alloy, which means that sterling silver contains 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% of other metals, typically copper.
The reason for alloying pure silver with other metals like copper is to improve its durability and strength. Pure silver, while beautiful and lustrous, is relatively soft and can easily scratch, dent, or deform over time with regular wear. By adding copper or other metals, sterling silver becomes more resistant to wear and tear, making it a practical choice for jewelry and other objects. However, it is not as hard as many other non-precious metals such as steel.
Where is your jewelry made?
Giadan jewelry is custom made for Le.Paul Jewelgarden. It is proudly made in Italy, known for its rich heritage in creativity and jewelry craftsmanship.
What is a doublette?
A doublette refers to a composite gemstone created by bonding two distinct layers together. In our case, when we mention Doublette, the top layer (upper part) is Zirconia and the bottom layer (under part) is natural Rock Crystal. This is a transparent variety of quartz crystal. The zirconia determines the color while the rock crystal enhances the appearance of the combined stone, giving it a natural look.
Are all doublettes the same?
No, each doublette is different. This is due to the irregularity of the inclusions and internal striations within the rock crystal, which is a product of nature. Therefore, if you order a ring with a Doublette as center stone, it will always differ slightly from the one pictured on the website. For this reason, these differences are not considered as a valid reason for a complaint.
Can gold or rhodium plating wear off?
Yes, despite being plated to the highest standards in the jewelry industry, all plating can, and over time probably will wear off. This is the case for all (gold) plated objects. How long it can take depends on different factors including but not restricted to how often you wear your ring, how you use it (under which circumstances), how you store it, the acidity of your skin and several other factors. Please carefully read our advice for how to care here. By following these instructions, you will prolong the beauty and shine of your jewelry.
What can I do when the gold plating wears off over time?
No worries, we can clean and repolish your ring and renew the gold plating in the original color. Your ring will shine like new! However we cannot remove or repair deep dents or scratches. Is your jewelry hypoallergenic?
Our jewelry is made from high-quality materials such as Sterling Silver (925/000). It is nickel-free. Nevertheless, and although occurence is very seldom, individual reactions to jewelry can vary. If you have specific allergies, please let us know, and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.
CUSTOMIZING/CUSTOM MADE
Why is your jewelry considered as custom made?
Because each ring is specially made to order in the combination of your choice and exactly to your ring size. Therefore it can not be returned or exchanged.
Is additional customization available for your jewelry?
Yes, we offer additional customization options. You can personalize your jewelry with initials, a name, or an important date (maximum 8 digits) to make it even more personal. Engraving is on the outside of the ring.
How can I request additional customization for my jewelry?
To request additional customization, please contact our customer support team through the contact form or by email: info@lepaul.amsterdam. Please mention your name and address as well as your order number. Also, please include the desired tekst or date you wish to have engraved in your Giadan ring. We will guide you through the process and provide you with the options. Please note that additional customization can add to the delivery time.
SHIPPING, DELIVERY & RETURNS
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept a variety of payment methods, including iDeal, Bancontact, credit cards and PayPal. You can find the complete list of options during the checkout process.
What is the delivery time?
Due to the fact that all jewelry is custom made as well as our commitment to quality, the delivery time for our jewelry can take up to approximately 4 weeks. Additional customization can add up to a week to the delivery time.
What is the return policy for Giadan customized jewelry?
Customized jewelry is made specifically for you, in your color combination and your ring size. Therefore it cannot be returned or exchanged unless there is a defect or error on our part. Please review the details here carefully before placing your order.
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, we offer international shipping to the EU and many other countries. Shipping costs and delivery times may vary based on your location. For deliveries outside the European Union, additional costs may apply (such as import taxes or other duties). These are to be paid locally. Please check our shipping information for details during checkout.
Can I track my order?
Yes, once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email. You can use this tracking number to monitor the status and location of your package.
What if I do not receive my package?
First we advise you to re-check the status and location of the package with your tracking number. Sometimes the shipping company encounters unexpected delays and the package could arrive the next day. Also please check with your neighbours. If this does not solve the problem, please contact us by email at info@lepaul.amsterdam.
RING SIZE
How do I determine my ring size?
We provide a comprehensive ring size guide on our website to help you find the perfect fit. We also offer for sale a special “Multisizer” with which you can measure your ring size accurately. You can order it online here. The amount paid (€ 5) will automatically be deducted from your ring purchase. If you are not sure about your ring size, you can ask a friend or your spouse to help you determine the right fit. Alternatively, or if it will make you feel more secure, you can also visit a local jeweler to get your ring size measured accurately. Please note that communicating the correct ring size is your responsibility. Therefore it cannot be considered a valid reason for complaint, except if the ring is not made to the size you communicated. We doublecheck the size before shipping it to you. .
Can I change the ring size after finalizing the order?
To avoid any errors or miscommunication, the ringsize you communicate to us at checkout is considered as final and cannot be changed. Communicating the correct ring size is your responsibility and cannot be considered as a valid reason for a complaint, except if the ring is not made to the size you communicated. We doublecheck the size before shipping it to you.
Can my ring be resized after delivery?
No, this is not possible due to several reasons. However, some models (Be-dazzled, Classics, Bigger is Better) have an internal adjustment system which enables you to make the ring size slightly smaller (approximately ¼ to ½ diameter size) without damaging the ring. It is not possible to enlarge the ring with the internal adjustment system.
Which references have an internal adjustment system?
Reference numbers 179, 186 and 681 have an internal adjustment system. You can see it clearly on the 360 degrees turning images in the webshop.
How can I adjust the size with the internal adjustment system?
You can make your ring size slightly smaller by carefully bending the two elements (one on each inner upper side of the ring) slightly inwards. (You can use a wooden or plastic skewer or a thin pincet or any other tool that fits. Be careful not to scratch the ring.)
This can be useful for instance if your hands are colder in the winter (and therefore your ring size slightly smaller) or is you have lost some weight or if you have some difficulty getting your ring over the knuckle of your finger, te prevent the ring from feeling too loose when it is in place.
WARRANTY & SUPPORT
Do you provide a warranty for your jewelry?
Yes, we offer a limited warranty of one year on our jewelry against defects in materials and workmanship. Please refer to our warranty policy for specific details here.
